House & Stay
What type of accommodation is Debed Life?
Debed Life is an intimate, design-driven home where you stay as a guest—not in a hotel, but in a lived-in space shared with its owners. It blends comfort, authenticity, and personal attention, offering a peaceful yet inspiring base to explore the Lori region.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 3:00 PM onward, and check-out is by 12:00 PM.
Late check-out may be possible depending on availability.
Are there quiet hours at Debed Life?
Yes – between 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM we ask our guests to respect others’ rest and the calm atmosphere of our home and village — this applies to both indoor and outdoor areas.
How many guests can stay at Debed Life?
We offer 4 double/twin rooms, hosting up to 8 adults in total.
Is Debed Life suitable for small children or toddlers?
Debed Life is an adult-oriented home, created for quiet stays, reflective rest, and a more personal atmosphere. We welcome guests 13 years and older. Families with younger children are warmly welcomed at Perle, where guests of all ages can dine, relax, and enjoy the space.
Do you provide extra beds or baby cribs?
We currently do not offer baby cribs or extra beds. Rooms accommodate a maximum of 2 guests each.
Are daytime visitors allowed?
Yes — visitors are welcome in outdoor areas and at Perle during its opening hours.
Overnight stays for non-registered guests are not permitted.
Does your rooms have private bathrooms?
Yes. All our rooms are equipped with private bathrooms, ensuring comfort and privacy throughout your stay.
Booking & Reservation Policies
How do I make a reservation?
You can send us a reservation inquiry via our website, through WhatsApp/phone/our social media channels, and by email. You will receive a booking confirmation email after we check the availability.
When is my reservation confirmed?
A reservation is confirmed once a 50% prepayment is received.
Is the prepayment refundable?
The 50% prepayment is non-refundable.
Is full payment required at check-in?
Yes, the remaining amount is due upon arrival or check-in.
What payment methods do you accept?
You can pay via:

Can I change my dates?
Date changes may be accommodated depending on availability.
While we cannot guarantee alternative dates, we will always try to assist.
Do you offer vouchers or gift cards?
Yes — we offer gift vouchers for room nights, dining experiences at Perle, events, and combined stay-and-dine packages. They make beautiful gifts for travelers, food lovers, and escapes to nature. Please contact us to issue a personalized voucher.
Do you offer promotions for returning guests?
Yes, we do. Returning guests enjoy special loyalty discounts and small personal touches during their stay. They get a 5000 AMD instant discount for all future bookings, and an additional 10% discount when bringing new friend.
Food & Dining
Is breakfast included in the room price?
Yes — daily breakfast at Perle is included with every stay. You may also choose from our À la Carte Breakfast and Brunch menu at the restaurant — the included breakfast of 5000 AMD value will be deducted from the room price.
Where do we have breakfast?
Breakfast is served at Perle, located on-site.
Does Perle have meal options for different diets?
Yes — Perle offers a thoughtful selection of dishes and can accommodate dietary preferences with advance notice (vegetarian, light vegan options, gluten-conscious dishes).
Do Debed Life guests receive a discount at Perle?
As our guest, you are invited to enjoy exclusive privileges at Perle Restaurant:
- 10% discount on the entire menu, including food and beverages.
- Curated Dining Combos set menus with entrée, main, and salad or dessert at a special guest price.
- 15% Discount Family Dining Offer: groups of 4 or more people receive 15% off the full menu
Can we bring our own wine to Perle?
Yes — with a reduced 3,000 AMD cork fee.
Do you offer meals at the house?
Meals are served at Perle; cooking in the house is not permitted (see below).
Kitchen & Food Use
Can I cook in the house kitchen?
The kitchen is available for light use only (coffee, tea, snacks, workshop use).
Full cooking is not allowed for short stays (less than 7 days).
Can I store drinks or snacks?
Yes — light storage in the fridge is possible upon request.
Do you have a BBQ?
Yes — the BBQ area is available with prior notice.
A 10,000 AMD fee applies for utensils and cleaning.
Can I eat in my room?
Food is not allowed in the rooms to maintain cleanliness and prevent stains. Eating areas are available throughout the house and outdoors. A 20,000 AMD fee applies for stained linens.
Dogs & Pets
Are pets allowed?
Yes — well-behaved dogs are welcome for a 5,000 AMD one-time fee.
Please contact us beforehand to confirm Richie’s compatibility with your dog.
Do you have pets at the house?
Yes — we have a friendly resident dog ourselves, our Siberian husky Richie.
Are cats allowed?
Unfortunately, cats are not compatible with our dog, so we cannot accommodate them.
Can dogs be on the beds or sofas?
Pets are not allowed on beds — stains or hair and paws will cause an extra 8,000 AMD cleaning fee. Please use the extra blanket provided in your room to protect the bedding
Is the property safe for dogs to stay off-leash?
Yes. Our property is fully enclosed, allowing dogs to roam freely and safely.
That said, pet owners remain fully responsible for their pets at all times. Dogs should not be left unattended, and owners are expected to ensure their pets remain calm and to clean up after them.
Fire & Smoking
Can we use the fireplace?
Use of the fireplace is available upon request and depends on weather and safety conditions. Please do not light fires without staff assistance. Firewood (not included in the room price) is 5,000 AMD per bundle (approx. 1.5 hours burning time).
Is smoking allowed?
Smoking is prohibited indoors. A 50,000 AMD fine applies for indoor smoking.
Designated outdoor areas are available.
Do you have an outdoor fireplace?
Yes. We have outdoor fire bowls available for guests to enjoy.
The same safety rules and fees apply as for the indoor fireplace, and use is always subject to staff guidance.
Facilities & Utilities
Is there coworking?
Yes. A cozy coworking space is available free of charge exclusively for Debed Life guests only.
How fast is the Wifi at the property?
28 Mbps Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
Is parking available?
Yes, free parking is available on site.
Do you have a BBQ?
Yes — the BBQ area is available with prior notice.
A 10,000 AMD fee applies for utensils and cleaning.
Do you offer laundry service?
Yes — Laundry service is available upon request — up to 4 kg for 2,000 AMD.
Guests are also provided with a drying rack to hang their laundry; please ask our staff for assistance.
Travel & Transportation
Do you arrange private transfer services from Yerevan oor Tbilisi?
Yes— we do arrange private transfers to/from Yerevan, Tbilisi, Vanadzor and other destinations across Armenia. Please contact us at least one day in advance.
What are the public transportation options from Yerevan to Debed?
The most comfortable and convenient way to travel from Yerevan to Debed is by private car or taxi.
For secure and reliable service, we recommend using the Yandex Taxi or GG apps.
There are also shared taxi services operating between Yerevan and Debed.
Alternatively, you can take a shared taxi or minibus from Kilikia Bus Station or Sasuntsi Davit Train Station in Yerevan to Vanadzor (the nearest city), and then continue by taxi or shared transport to Debed.
Our house is located in the center of the village and is easy to find.
How to get to Debed From Tbilisi?
There are several options to reach the Bagratashen border from Tbilisi via private or public transport.
Once you cross into Armenia, we are happy to arrange a pickup on the Armenian side of the border to bring you directly to Debed. Please contact us in advance.
Is public transport in Debed available?
A daily bus leaves Debed at 9:00 AM to Vanadzor and returns at 3:00 PM.

Can you arrange private transfers in Debed Canyon area?
Yes – If you need a ride here in Debed Canyon area, our trusted local driver can provide transfers and trail drop-offs. We’ll be happy to help you book a ride.
Are the roads to Debed paved?
Yes. The roads leading to Debed are fully paved all the way to our gates, making the journey comfortable and accessible throughout the year.
Are the roads accessible year-round?
Yes — but in winter, snow may require slower driving and winter tires.
Events & Activities
Are there hiking trails nearby?
Yes—numerous trails start right outside our gate.
We recommend the Hike Armenia app for maps and navigation.
Do you offer guided trips?
Yes — our trusted local driver offers drop-offs and trail transport.
Do you offer recommendations for what to do in Lori?
Absolutely — we share personalized suggestions for hikes, outdoor activities, monasteries, culture, and hidden gems.
Do you offer whole-house bookings for groups?
Yes — the entire house may be booked for retreats and workshops.
Do you host weddings or events?
Small retreats and gatherings can take place at Debed Life.
Larger celebrations are held at Perle.
Infrastructure & Sustainability
How reliable are electricity and utilities?
Regional Armenia may experience occasional electricity or gas interruptions.
Backup solutions are in place, although water supply may temporarily be affected.
Thank you for your understanding—it is a nationwide infrastructure issue.
Is the tap water safe to drink?
Our tap water isn’t chlorinated, so it’s not recommended for drinking prior boiling. Bottled water is provided, and more is available at the grocery store across the street.
What sustainability practices do you follow?
We avoid single-use items, reduce waste, and encourage mindful electricity use.
Heating/AC must not run while windows or balcony doors are open.
How often are towels and linens changed?
To reduce water and energy consumption, towels and bed linens are changed every third day of your stay.
If you’d like fresh sets sooner, we’re happy to provide them — 3,000 AMD per set.
Do you offer disposable hygiene items?
No — we intentionally avoid single-use items such as toothbrushes, slippers, and similar amenities.
Waste management infrastructure in Armenia is still developing, and we choose to prioritize environmental protection over convenience. We kindly encourage guests to bring their own reusable essentials.
How can guests contribute?
Small actions make a big difference:
Turn off AC/heating when leaving the room

What if I encounter a wild animal or stray dog?
