Debed Village lies in Armenia’s lush Lori Region, known for its lush green nature, dramatic canyon landscape, and cultural heritage. The village offers a rare balance: peaceful village life with easy access to historic sites, hiking trails, and neighboring regions. This is not a resort destination—it is a living village, where daily life unfolds slowly and authenticity is part of the experience.
LANDSCAPE BEYOND THE VILLAGE
Debed Canyon
While Debed Village takes its name from the canyon, Debed Canyon refers to a much broader natural and cultural landscape stretching from Vanadzor along the Pambak and Debed Rivers. It is a dramatic canyon system that connects forests, monasteries, historic settlements, and industrial heritage sites. This larger Debed Canyon area defines the character of northern Lori and offers endless opportunities for exploration, hiking, and cultural discovery.

From Yerevan
Private car or taxi (recommended)
Shared taxi or minibus to Vanadzor, followed by a short local transfer
Approx. travel time: 2.5–3 hours
From Tbilisi
- Private or public transport to the Bagratashen border
- Optional pickup can be arranged on the Armenian side
- Approx. travel time: 3–4 hours
